Coronavirus banner

You can embed the NHS coronavirus banner into your website, product or service to direct users to the latest NHS information on coronavirus (COVID-19).

Example:

The content in the banner updates automatically so you always have the latest version.

You can embed the banner in your website, product or service using a small piece of code.

How to use the coronavirus banner

  1. Step 1 Add banner script to your page

Add the following script anywhere into the <head> part of your code.

  2. Step 2 Choose where the banner appears on your page

Add the following code snippet into the <body> part of your code, in the place you want the banner to appear on your page.

Alternatively, if you want to, you can make the banner appear on a pre-existing class or HTML tag on your page. To do this you will need to specifify the selector in the banner script function. Here is an example of how to make it appear on the page body:

    <script src="https://api-bridge.azurewebsites.net/banner/banner.js" type="text/javascript" defer="" onload="NHSUKBannerInit({selector: '.mycustomclass',url: window.location.href})"></script>
  3. Step 3 Agree to our terms and conditions

We have temporarily changed our syndication process, solely for these COVID-19 widgets and APIs, in order to make accessing them simpler and easier. We reserve the right to stop this temporary change at any time and to suspend your access. We will not ask you to create an account, but do need to know where they are going to be displayed. We may check this.

By accessing these COVID-19 widgets or APIs you agree to comply with our syndication terms.

As you are not required to have an account, we cannot contact you - but you should therefore regularly check back to this page for any updates.

  4. Step 4 Show us what you’ve done (optional)

Send us a link with the banner on your site to syndication.service@nhs.net.
